Air Cooled Heat Exchanger

The air-cooled heat exchanger is an industrial heat dissipation device that uses air as the cooling medium. It transfers the heat of the high-temperature medium to the cold air through forced convection to achieve heat exchange. Its core structure includes a header, a gas channel and an air channel, and achieves efficient heat dissipation through a plate-fin heat exchanger. ‌

Air-cooled heat exchangers are widely used in chemical, metallurgical, mechanical and other fields. The equipment uses air as the cooling medium and achieves cooling of the hot fluid through forced convection. It is suitable for scenes where water is scarce or water pollution needs to be avoided.

Working principle of Air Cooled Heat Exchanger

The air-cooled heat exchanger uses a fan to force air to flow through the surface of the heat exchanger, taking away the heat and dissipating it into the environment. When the high-temperature medium (such as incinerator flue gas) passes through the heat exchanger, it exchanges heat with the cold air, and finally reduces the temperature to a safe range (such as from 800℃ to below 200℃). ‌

Main structure of Air Cooled Heat Exchanger

Its core structure consists of finned tube bundles and a ventilation system, and fins are used to expand the heat exchange area to improve efficiency. When the hot fluid flows in the tube, the external air is driven by the fan to flow through the outer surface of the tube to complete the heat exchange. The equipment supports air volume adjustment to adapt to different working conditions, and has the characteristics of no water source dependence and compact structure.
